Entity: Ritchie Manufacturing, operating under Ritchie Mining LLC (transitioning from "Ritchie MFG"). We hold a Wisconsin state trademark for "Ritchie MFG", which continues to serve as the shortened name for Ritchie Manufacturing. (Collectively referred to herein as “Ritchie Manufacturing”, “RitchieMFG”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before accessing or using our Website or purchasing our products. By accessing our site, placing an order, or utilizing our products, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
1. GENERAL OVERVIEW
Ritchie Manufacturing designs and manufactures 3D-printed, additive-manufactured, and thermoformed training equipment, non-ballistic dummy plate inserts, and experimental prototyping products. These Terms govern all transactions, site visits, and product purchases made through RitchieMFG.
2. STRICT NON-BALLISTIC / DUMMY PLATE DISCLAIMER (CRITICAL)
ZERO BALLISTIC CAPABILITY: All plate inserts, dummy plates, high-mass training inserts, backers, and products sold by Ritchie Manufacturing (including all items under CORE and DEVELOPMENT) are strictly NON-BALLISTIC TRAINING AND SIMULATION PRODUCTS.
NO LIFE-SAFETY / BODY ARMOR PROTECTION: These products provide zero protection against firearms, bullets, projectiles, fragmentation, shrapnel, knives, spikes, slashing, or any other kinetic, ballistic, or blunt-force threats.
INTENDED USE ONLY: Our products are engineered strictly for:

Airsoft, MilSim, and tactical simulation loadouts;

Physical conditioning, rucking, and weighted fitness training;

Plate carrier sizing, ergonomics, and dry-fire drill practice;

Cosplay and theatrical prop use.
PROHIBITED USE & ZERO LIABILITY: These products must NEVER be deployed as body armor, personal protective equipment (PPE), or in any live-fire, military combat, law enforcement duty, or hazardous environment. Ritchie Manufacturing and Ritchie Mining LLC disclaim all liability for injury, death, or property damage resulting from the misuse or deployment of these products in live-fire or hostile environments.
3. 3D PRINTING & ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING CHARACTERISTICS
Manufacturing Tolerances: Our products are fabricated using additive manufacturing (3D printing), thermoforming, and multi-material fusion techniques. Visible layer lines, surface toolpaths, minor texture variations, and slight infill patterns are normal characteristics of the manufacturing process and do not constitute defects.
Thermal Limitations: 3D-printed polymers can deform if subjected to extreme heat. Do not expose plates to open flames or store them in enclosed, high-heat environments (such as vehicle dashboards during extreme summer heat).
4. "DEVELOPMENT" EXPERIMENTAL & MADE-TO-ORDER PRODUCTS
Developmental Classification: Products designated under DEVELOPMENT represent developmental, limited-run, or experimental architectures.
Made-to-Order Lead Times: Products flagged as "Made-to-Order" are queued for individual production upon order receipt. Stated production windows (e.g., 7–10 business days) are operational estimates and may vary based on manufacturing queue density.
Final Sale Status: All products categorized under DEVELOPMENT or manufactured on a custom/made-to-order basis are strictly FINAL SALE and non-returnable once fulfillment is initiated.
5. PRICING, ORDERS & MODIFICATIONS
Order Acceptance: We reserve the right to refuse, limit, or cancel any order for reasons including suspected fraudulent activity, unauthorized commercial reselling, or inventory/pricing display errors.
Specification Changes: Product weights, dimensional measurements, infill densities, and pricing are subject to continuous refinement without prior notice.
6. SHIPPING, TITLE & RISK OF LOSS
Carrier Delivery: All shipments are dispatched via third-party commercial carriers (USPS, UPS). Risk of loss, damage in transit, and title to products pass to you upon our delivery of the package to the carrier.
Transit Damage Claims: If a product arrives damaged from transit, you must notify us via our Contact Page within 5 days of delivery. High-resolution digital photographs showing both the damaged packaging and the product are strictly required.
7. RETURNS, EXCHANGES & RESTOCKING FEES
Returns are governed by our Returns & Exchanges Policy:

Eligible standard CORE products must be initiated within 30 days of the original shipment date.

A formal Return Authorization (RA) must be obtained prior to sending any product back. Unauthorized packages will be rejected.

Products showing signs of field use, sweat, dirt, wear, or physical modification will not be refunded.

Returned products are subject to a 20% restocking and inspection fee.

Return shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Items from DEVELOPMENT and closeout items are strictly non-returnable.
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & TRADEMARK STATUS
Trademark Status: We are currently in the process of transitioning our company name to "Ritchie Manufacturing", utilizing "RitchieMFG" as our shortened name. Ritchie Mining LLC holds a Wisconsin state trademark for "Ritchie MFG"; however, we do not claim to hold a federal trademark for "Ritchie MFG", nor do we currently have active trademarks for the name "Ritchie Manufacturing" or for our logo.
Intellectual Property: Despite the aforementioned trademark statuses, all digital CAD files, 3D geometries, custom infill architectures, proprietary product names, original imagery, and text on this Website remain the exclusive intellectual property (including copyright protections) of Ritchie Mining LLC. You agree not to copy, reverse-engineer, 3D scan, clone, reproduce, or commercially exploit any of our physical products or digital assets without prior written consent.
9. ASSUMPTION OF RISK, INDEMNIFICATION & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Assumption of Physical Risk: Engaging in physical training, rucking with weighted plates, and participating in tactical sports (such as airsoft) carries inherent risks of physical injury. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with using our products.
Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ritchie Manufacturing, Ritchie Mining LLC, its owners, and employees shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our products or Website.
Indemnification: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ritchie Manufacturing and Ritchie Mining LLC from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or legal expenses arising out of your misuse of the products, violation of these Terms, or unauthorized deployment in dangerous environments.
10. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and any transactions conducted through the Website shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of organization for Ritchie Mining LLC, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
